On April 24, 2021, National Panchayati Raj Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the distribution of e-wealth cards under the Svamitvas Yojana.
04.09 lakh property Svamitva obtained their e-property cards during the distribution of e-property cards under this Svamitva Yojana through video conferencing.
During this launch program, Prime Minister Modi also praised the efforts of the leadership of the panchayats to make awareness and stop the corona virus from entering the villages.
Prime Minister Modi urged that each one the panchayats will follow the mantra of ‘Dawai Bhi, Kadai Bhi’ to fight the war against Kovid-19. He also urged the Panchayats to make sure that the Panchayats within the ir area make sure that all the rules set by the middle are followed in the villages.
Prime Minister Modi also highlighted that folks of rural areas will benefit immensely from the Svamitva Yojana. He also talked about some initiatives for Gram Panchayats like the middle had given Rs 02 lakh 25 thousand crores for strengthening Gram Panchayats and promoting e-Gram Swaraj to extend transparency in rural development projects.

About the SvamitvaYojana
On 24 April 2020, this proprietary (survey of villages and mapping with improvement techniques in rural areas) Yojana was launched as a central sector plan. The Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This Svamitva Yojana was launched to develop a socio-economically strong and self-reliant rural India. This proprietary Yojana uses modern technological tools like drone technology for mapping and surveying rural areas.
The major phase of this Yojana has been started in Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and selected villages of Rajasthan and Punjab.
During the year 2021-2025, about 6.62 lakh villages of the country are expected to be covered under this Yojana .
Objectives of Svamitva Yojana
• To empower the people of rural India to use their wealth for various financial benefits including loans.
• Reducing legal issues and property disputes among rural people.
• Create GIS maps including survey infrastructure which will be employed by any department.
• Assistance in preparation of higher quality Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) using GIS maps.
• Accurate land records and better rural planning.
• Assistance in determining land tax .
